I know what it’s like to feel disconnected from your own body.

I was obese as a teen, and hated sports. My school exposed me to team sport, ball sports, and cardio based sports. It felt like running was a personalized form of humiliation, and functionally I had a very low quality of life.

With purpose I became driven. The lack of control or understanding behind why I looked and felt a certain way drove me to learn more. Strength training found me, much by coincidence, and with that my purpose and my drive grew. Suddenly I was given another measure of my progress, worth, and strength by being able to progress in the weight room using tangable measures and numbers.

For the first time in my life I felt a cohesion between my body and mind.

While I, personally, compete in Strongman and Powerlifting, my passion is to help people feel strong, functional, and proud of themselves inside and outside the gym. Whether that comes from competing, breaking records and pushing your strength to the limit, to picking up the kids pain free. I want to help you achieve a better quality of life all round.

Most importantly, I want you to have fun, feel strong, and arm you with the knowledge to feel empowered over your own growth in life.

Beginner Strength Training

For those just starting out! Learn how your body moves, and start to build healthy habits. This is where we build your confidence in the gym, in your abilities, and in your own body.

Intermediate Strength Training

Technique focussed and goal advancement. This is usually the point where we know your weaknesses and your strengths and why you’re here. We work on fixing those weaknesses.

Strongman

Strongman focussed training is based around long term goals and technique advancement.

Powerlifting

Powerlifting training is based around long term goals and technique advancement.

Prehab/Rehab/Mobility

Taking your weaknesses, recognising them, improving them. Here we work with a lot of body weight movements, spotting imbalances and improving core strength.

Online Coaching

For those who aren’t local, but still want to improve their form, technique, strength, and progress! Involves access to the online community, online reviews, and programming.

  • Strongman is a sport with a very long history of functional fitness and tests of strength.

    The the sport includes moving under load, carrying objects for speed, static lifts, overall strength and explosive movements.

    The origins of the sport come from all over the world, but you probably recognise it from competitions like ‘World’s Strongest Man’ where big folks lift cars and pull trucks.

  • Strongman is a sport of moving, twisting, lifting, bending, and carrying. Whether you are a tradie, a parent, an office worker or an independent business owner, all of us in our lives need to be able to bend over, pick things up, twist and grab, move under load, and strengthen these patterns to strengthen our quality of life. Strongman training is functional for every day life and how we move when we aren’t thinking about how we’re moving because it teaches you to move safely and efficiently, as well as making you stronger in awkward movements.

  • We all start somewhere, and no background in the gym is just a clean slate to build good habits on. We are all using our bodies daily in some way or another, either conciously or unconciously. Just getting in and moving, and being able to learn more about your body is the first step in the journey.
